Mickey Mouse gets a divorce.
Well, not exactly… But Disney does.
Still, what kind of message are we sending to the kids?
ET has learned that after 51 years of marriage, Roy E. Disney filed for divorce on Friday from his wife Patricia, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
Roy, who is reportedly worth $1.2 billion, is the nephew of Walt Disney and one of the Walt Disney Company’s major shareholders.
Who knows, maybe it will inspire some new Disney sequels for our kids. Ones that they can really relate to… I can see it now:
“Beauty and the Beast file for divorce citing irreconcilable differences.”
“Cinderella kicks out Prince for having affair with Stepsister.”
“Rapunzel accuses Prince of habitual cruel and inhuman treatment. Prince to Jury: “It was the only way I could climb up the tower!!!”

I heard that Mickey Mouse was seeking divorce but for different reasons. It was my understanding that when he filed, the judge said, “You can’t divorce her because you claim that Minnie is freakin silly”. When Mickey replied, “I didn’t say that she was freakin silly, I said that she was fuckin Goofey”.
